Necessity is the mother of invention
GeauxCounsel was born and built from the ground up as a safe, quick, and affordable solution for attorneys to obtain automated legal forms. GeauxCounsel is for Louisiana attorneys only!
After an exhaustive search by GeauxCounsel's founder for automated estate planning forms that fully complied with the unique aspects of Louisiana law, it was discovered that none existed. In the wake of the Covid19 crisis with the need to "do more with less," the Founder of GeauxCounsel embarked on a journey to build an automated document assembly platform solely for use in his high volume estate and business practice more suitable for an "online" world. After building the platform, law firm revenue increased by 500% (yes, 5 times), which would not be possible without robust document automation that complies with the many peculiarities of Louisiana law.
GeauxCounsel's mission is to provide peace of mind and competitive tools to Louisiana attorneys who strive to provide the highest level of service to their clients while embracing the encroachment of online platforms for self-prepared documents. GeauxCounsel Members enjoy the best of both worlds by accessing tools necessary to deliver highly advanced-level attorney-prepared documents to clients, while also offering more cost-efficient self-prepared online forms for clients who cannot afford concierge services. We are different
Unlike other document assembly platforms, GeauxCounsel does NOT use HotDocs (an old industry stalwart) as its Template Development Platform and host. HotDocs simply does not function smoothly enough in today's cloud-based environment – in the opinion and experience of GeauxCounsel's founder – a loyal HotDocs user for decades. GeauxCounsel's Template Development platform uses newer technology that is entirely cloud-based requiring no periodic and frustrating download / upload sequences for enhancements or to renew a subscription. The user interface requires no "integrations" and can be accessed anywhere "on the grid", whether on the beach, in the mountains, on a plane, or in the office (as a last resort).
